The company will be a good corporate citizen and will undertake educational and outreach activities. Outreach is critical for raising awareness about the challenges we face today in sustaining our environment, ensuring food security, and mitigating adverse effects of global climate change. To this end, we will be working with non profit and governmental organizations in addition to general public to ensure that scientifically sound policies are adopted.
Outreach efforts will include developing experimental hands on science kits for children of various ages and adults. This will not only popularize science, but will also recruit people to the cause of effectively combating the current crisis.
Educational and training seminars:
Seminars and workshops on topics pertaining to addressing current global challenges will be offered to foster growth and development opportunities for students, scientists, and professionals. A number of workshops and seminars are planned some of which include seminars in spectroscopy and imaging, science of global climate change, and biogeochemical modeling.
Educational Courses:
In addition to seminars and workshops, we will also offer 7-14 week distance education courses in the areas of environmental biochemistry, nano to global scale biogeochemistry, organo-mineral-microbial interactions and biomineralization, ecomedicine, ecopsychology, and environmental policy. Some course offerings will be collaborative with universities.
Decision Support System Tools:
We are developing a cutting edge decision support platform to enable managers, and relevant professionals for making appropriate policy decisions for selecting technology, and parameters to best address the current global challenges.
